Club Gymnitours

Our history

The history of Club Gymnitours de Lachine began in 1980, when gymnastics was integrated into the City of Lachine’s sports programming. This growing interest in gymnastics led to the official creation of the club in January 1986. At that time, an initial five-member Board of Directors, including Anne Dostie, the club’s founder, met to register The Lachine Gymnitours Club as a public non-profit organization.

Since its beginnings, the club has undergone a remarkable evolution. It has expanded its range of services by integrating trampoline, tumbling and parkour programs into its women’s artistic gymnastics programs, responding to the popularity of these dynamic and innovative disciplines. Throughout its development, The Gymnitours Club has always subscribed to the fundamental values of fun, respect and sportsmanship, which remain at the heart of its activities.

Today, the club is proud to welcome some 800 annual members, testifying to the growing interest in gymnastics sports in the Lachine community. With a dedicated team of 35 employees, including 3 permanent staff, the club is committed to providing quality coaching and supporting each athlete in his or her quest for personal and sporting development.

The Lachine Gymnitours Club has become a place where young gymnastics enthusiasts can blossom, while remaining true to its original mission: to promote gymnastics and its values within the community.
